Now a Cody Wyoming river guide and business owner, elyse came to Wyoming from NJ by way of Arizona and Utah and has worked as a professional outdoor guide and educator for 17 years. She worked various jobs and explored new hobbies while growing her passion for the outdoors and the personal growth it facilitates. She’s worked maintenance, construction, as a solar array technician, researcher, graphic designer, bar tender, cook, event planner, marketing advisor, became a silver smith and more.
Elyse’s passion for people and facilitating memorable experiences led to the creation of an Adventure Film Festival, a position with The Central Wyoming Climbers Alliance and running the associated International Climbers Festival and a community engagement and development position at an investigative journalism outfit, WyoFile. In 2019 she launched Wyo Rivers Cooperative with Landon Blanchard and in 2021 they purchased Wyoming River Trips, in Cody Wyoming.
