Eric became a professional whitewater guide in 2021. Now in his fourth season with Wyoming River Trips he brings valuable skills, institutional knowledge and mentorship to our new trainees and staff.
My name is Eric Bratrud. I started working as a rafting guide for Wyoming River Trips in 2021 which was also my first year as a raft guide. My other job is being an advanced EMT and ER Tech. When I’m not working I’m usually spending time with my dog Rio in the great outdoors. I enjoy climbing (especially ice climbing) mountaineering, travel, biking and playing guitar.
I grew up in Minnesota then moved to Colorado after college. I worked for over twenty years in the craft brewing industry as a brewer and moved to Wyoming in 2017.
I love rivers because they are always changing with the days and
seasons. You see the world from a different perspective when you’re floating down a rive, and it’s a lot of fun! Eric’s recommended trip: Inflatable Kayaking!
