Wyoming River Trips guides are professionals, and your safety is their highest priority. However, no outdoor activity is without some inherent risk. You must acknowledge and, in substantial measure, accept that risk. All adult participants, and parents or guardians of minor participants under the age of 18, must sign an Acknowledgment of Risk form required by our insurance company. Please allow sufficient time for this, and check-in at our office when you arrive.
Please be sure to let us know about physical or mental limitations we need to accommodate prior to arrival and about any medication you might need to have with you on the boat (eg. inhalers, EpiPens, etc).
Our 3 day 2 night Bighorn River Trip is a chance to get away from the hustle and bustle and unplug. This trip is Class I-II and features stunning scencery and lots of flatwater. Appropriate for families and small groups looking to see Wyoming in a new way.
The Bighonr river features unique aquatic life, tons of chances to see wildlife, quiet nights, hiking, and ample opportunities to paddle a kayak, relax in the raft, catch up with friends.
Resere a space with others (public) or reserve the entire launch for your private group (minimum of 6). Don’t see the date you want, inquire about a custom date.
You will be given a brief orientation either the morning or night before your trip begins. Our guides will review your gear and help you repack into your river bags. We will then load the boats and head down river! You’ll settle into the pace of river time while learning about the areas geology, history and current issues. Stop to swim, stop to hike and stop to snack and eat a delicious riverside lunch. This is the life!
You’ll enjoy this slower pace and disconnect from technology for 3 full days. You may see wildlife, you may gain an appreciation for the quiet you never had, or you may reconnect to yourself and others. By the time you reach the takeout, you’ll wish you could keep going for another week. Don’t worry we have recommendations of what trip to do next. If you’re lucky, you’ll have caught the river bug. We hope to see you out there.
