WRT employees from 1978 - 2021

Wyoming River Trips is and always has been a family river business. Our staff become part of our family and come back to Cody Wyoming year after year to raft with us and just say hi.
Be part of a family! Several decades of WRT employees and guides gather to celebrate 4th of July and the retirement of former owners Rick and Ron Blanchard
Staff and guides manage guests down our private stairs, arrange them in boats, and give a safety speech.
Working with Wyoming River Trips

We are now hiring for the 2025 season!

Wyoming River Trips prides itself on providing professional outdoor guiding services with a personal touch. We are a family river business, constantly exploring growth opportunities for the business and our staff. We aim to support our staff in their professional and personal development while building a healthy and caring local river community.

We expect all applicants to have a passion for the outdoors and facilitating deeper connection to the natural world for their clients. All applicants and current river guides are expected to be excited to continue growing and learning and to be excellent stewards of the other-than-human world we work in and around everyday.

We believe choosing to be thoughtful, intentional, inclusive and compassionate people helps build a healthy, supportive and fun workplace, river guides and larger river community—and adds the most to our Cody community too.

All staff are CPR and First Aid certified with guides trained in Wilderness First Aid and Swift Water Rescue. All new hires, regardless of experience will be expected to learn WRT procedures/protocols and consistently meet or exceed the company standards and industry standards for risk management and efficiency.

Training opportunities and staff development funds exist for new and returning guides. WRT is a launch point for new guides and those looking to start an outdoor career. AND, a place for experienced guides to build leadership skills, mentor and coach new guides, and continue their growth as facilitators and members of the outdoor community.

Raft Guides, Experienced and New – Wyoming

Meet our highly trained staff
Staff and Guides

All of our guides do an excellent job of combining their river experience with knowledge and perspective of life beyond the river — including geology, natural history, biology, medicine, outdoor education, and outdoor leadership. Wyoming River Trips guides’ experience is not limited to the Shoshone River, in fact their greatest asset is the experience they bring from all other rivers they have run, and from the lives they live outdoors.
