Wyoming River Trips is proud to
present this rafting trip exclusive to only our guests. It starts right on
the outskirts of Yellowstone's East Entrance and floats down through the
beautiful Shoshone National Forest. It is our longest trip at approximately 15
miles and rich with a long history and diverse wildlife.
The first visitors to this area were archaic
Indian bands who hunted bighorn sheep along the river corridor. These people preceded the
mountain men, who trapped beaver during the fur-trading era.
Although times have changed,
the spirit of this land hasn't. The Northfork trip will transport you back in
time where it is hard not to imagine the Cody Country of 100 years ago. Each Bend in the
river brings a new breathtaking vista. Watch playful bighorn sheep on cliffs, a cow moose
with her calf grazing along the river's edge or an eagle soaring against a sapphire blue
Wyoming sky. You will feel the thrill of anticipation as you round the bend in the river
above Mormon Creek Rapids and descend down a long shoot of churning whitewater.
These are
but a few of the scenes that will remain with you long after your vacation is over. At
trip's end you will dine on ham, turkey breast, fresh baked bread, assorted fruits, chips
and a beverage. Approximate round-trip time from our office: 4-5 hours. Reservations
required because there is limited occupancy.
