About Wyoming River Trips

Wyoming River Trips was founded in 1978 with Rick and Ron Blanchard personally escorting trips; a practice that is still carried on today. Our Company has been featured on ESPN and Outdoor Life television network; along with national publications such as Travel and Leisure, Better Homes and Gardens, and Mature Outlook Magazines. Wyoming River Trips is the only continually owned and operated company in the historic Cody Area running the Shoshone river.
The Shoshone river is the main eastern drainage of Yellowstone National Park. It reads like a flowing history book with almost as many scenic vistas as the colorful people and cultures who explored it. This river was used as a trade route during the fur-trading era for the mountain men and Native Americans who entered the "Yellow Rock" country in pursuit of its abundance of wildlife. This pursuit of adventure continues today.

RESERVATIONS: To assure your space, reservations should be made for your chosen trip as early as possible. We ask that you arrive at our office 30 minutes prior to trip departure.

OFFICES: Now with two offices. Buffalo Bill Village - Holiday Inn Complex, and 233 Yellowstone Hwy next to the Wal-Mart Superstore.

PARKING: Our west office at 233 Yellowstone Hwy has 2 1/2 acres of easy-in-easy-out parking for your motor home and RV parking convience.

WE PROVIDE: Type V lifejackets, optional rain slickers, transportation to and from the river, fun and excitement!

RENTALS: We also provide the option of renting wetsuits and booties

CAN'T SWIM: Don't worry! Every passenger is required to wear a US Coast Guard-approved life jacket.
SPECIAL PEOPLE: We believe the magic of a river trip experience is not limited just to those who are "able bodied." People with varying disabilities have joined our trips in the past and we look forward to continuing our efforts to enhance these experiences.

CHILDREN: Are welcome on all trips. You'll find river travel a perfect family experience. Age limits vary with different water levels. Check with our office or E-mail if you have any questions.
